Very helpful staff. Smoking rooms were great. Had a late flight the day we left and staff were very accomodating with letting us check out late
The double bed was 2 singles pushed together
Location, breakfast, staff
Needed computer printing availability for boarding pass.
Great location in the centre of Brugge! Our room (8) was a quadruple room and was up 2 flights of stairs via a spiral staircase but had no handrail. In the room there was a double bed and there were twin beds on a mezzanine level via steep steps with a handrail. This room is not suitable for young children or people with walking difficulties but was fine for us. The bathroom was large with twin basins and a roll top bath.I Believe this part of the hotel dates back to the 14th century! The buffet breakfast was very good with cereals, fruit juices, various meats and cheeses, croissants, brioches, cake, toast and preserves. A great start to the day. Parking is in a large carpark very nearby but you can unload directly outside the hote for a few minutes.
Cleaness, confort, heating, breakfast, courtesy
It was a very nice hotel with the main services included. The room for 4 people has enough space , a nice bathroom and good decoration. The hotel has a perfect location, inside the down town and just 2 blocks to the main square. The breakfas was excellent and the sfaff is very kind and friendly. Great experience.
The mattress of the double bed isn't very confortable, I think it's a little bit old.. It was very complicated for us to go up to the fourth floor with the luggage without elevator,so be prepared to carry on yourself all your baggage. An elevator should be great.¡¡¡
Staff were very welcoming, and nothing was too much trouble. Excellent room for the 3 of us to share, with plenty of space, new bathroom (Room 2) Wifi worked really well in the room, Contemporary colour scheme throughout hotel. Excellent breakfast - scrambled eggs sublime. We were able to use their garage for car parking at 10 euro per day, work asking when you book. Very central location, with the one way street used as the main way into the old city, so some morning traffic but not a problem. Would definitely stay here again.
No negative points - I'm not sure how others have complained on this site, or perhaps the hotel have taken note and have upped their game, but we really enjoyed our stay in Bruge, and the hotel made it a great success - don't delay go ahead and book!
Excelent location and very comfortable rooms.
There are no elevators, so if you have babies it can be a bit trick.
Queirky hotel good breakfast fantastic location at 3 minutes from the main square
Toilet was like a cupboard in the corner of the room and very dark
Expensive, terrible location, shower had no hot water...at all, bed was broken when I got in the room, the room was tiny even for European standards. Was in europe for 4 weeks and stayed in 10 different hotels, this was by far the most expensive that I stayed in and the worst stay of any. Terribly disappointed.
canal boat trip is a must and a great little city to just wander. Lots of history and galleries in beautiful surroundings.
We have two kids. The room we stayed in was very nice and spacious. The heat was plentiful. We thought the breakfast was great. They offered hot eggs and delicious hot chocolate. The location was perfect-right downtown and just a short walk to the main square. We would definitely stay here again. We brought a small dog with us, and they did not charge us any extra fees.
If you have a family member with any type of mobility issue, request a first floor room. Our room was up two very narrow flights of winding stairs which would definitely pose a problem for some. Overall, it is a great hotel, though.
The location.the design of the rooms.it is like a big house and not a hotel.
It doesen´t have elevator.they helped with luggage.
location excellent, lovely rooms
We stayed at the boterhuis for 3 nights with our 10 year old and 5 year old. We were in an attic family suite, and had a great stay. The owners were friendly, nice, and helpful. The room was chic and modern, yet very comfortable. Location was fantastic, and breakfast was filling. The only item to be aware of- is if you opt for the additional parking it is a few blocks away, and a very tight fit- a little difficult to manuever if you are not used to such parking. But we had no problems and would highly recommend this property to anyone.
The location was excellent, only 5 min walk from the main Markt. The rooms were warm and comfortable. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful.
The bathroom although very clean and modern seemed to have the occasional unsuual smell - damp and backflow from the pipes. Maybe from poor ventilation.
